Welcome to Pine Rock Stables

The dew on the grass is present in the moment without any drama.
The full harvest moon on the water is both simple and profound…..
We will never be able to live the paradox of how the ordinary and the
extraordinary come together if we are not willing to accept life as it is.”
Llewellyn Vaughn Lee from Awakening the World

We hope you enjoy browsing our website.  Our goal is to take you on a visual journey through our stable and property, and we hope you come away with a clear message of what we are all about.

We are dedicated to providing people with the complete horse experience.  See not just a horse, but see as well the beauty of their body, mind and spirit.

We have an Equine Education Facility that encourages continual education by hosting many clinics throughout the year with a variety of internationally renowned clinicians.  Here you can learn more about how to see the horse as a willing companion, rather than  a mere beast of burden.

Since our inception in 1998 the staff at Pine Rock Stables has encountered many people who wanted to learn more about the holistic and metaphysical care, healing and interaction of horses.  There was a scarcity of information in Canada at the time and especially in the very constrictive Province of Manitoba.  There were many animals being used every day for the personal gain of their owners, but very little was done in return for these animals.  Dry hay, plenty of water and a clean box to live in seemed a small reward for the hard work these animals were providing to their owners.

Through hard work, study, and endless hours of hands on care and time with the horses, we have developed a program we call ELEMENTAL HORSEMANSHIP.

A brief summary follows:

First, Elemental Horsemanship schools one in how to maintain precise control with horses by learning the tools required to create a partnership, whether on the ground, riding, or driving.   These tools teach one to communicate in the language of Equus (Horse) from a foundation built on trust and respect.  The result is that the student of Elemental Horsemanship learns to be the leader a horse needs and expects, creating a relationship of sublime union between horse and horseman.

Second, Elemental Horsemanship gives the horse a thank you for all that they have done for us and for all that they are, in ways they are unable to do for themselves.  Through the use of Equine Massage, Healing Tough for Animals and Equine Acupressure, we strive to see that the horse retains the balance of energy for optimal wellness.  Our exposure with animals should not leave them depleted in any way what-so-ever; unfortunately, in today’s society this is more normal than not.  Elemental Horsemanship is just as it sounds: the goal is to see that all of nature remains in true Elemental form.

From the moment we greet your horse in the pasture to the moment you release him, you will be developing a relationship and understanding of each other.  He will understand your every move, as you will be speaking the language of the horse, the language of Equus.

Our programs are specially designed, our instructors are professionally trained, and our horses are carefully chosen to make your experience a productive and enjoyable one.

We educate people through clinics and programs designed to enhance the bond between people, animals and their environments.

We advocate for the animals – speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.

“Ask not what your horse can do for you, but what you can do for your horse.”
